Industrial Accident Sends One to Hospital: Officials

A man suffered a hand injury Sunday morning in Edgewood, according to first responders.

A man was hospitalized Sunday morning after his hand got trapped in a printing press at an industrial facility in Edgewood, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At approximately 8:36 a.m., first responders were dispatched to a printing facility in the 1800 block of Fashion Court in Edgewood, where a man’s hand was stuck in a printing press, the fire company reported.

The 41-year-old man’s hand was removed before crews arrived, according to the report.

Officials said he was taken in serious but stable condition to Union Memorial Hospital’s Curtis National Hand Center for treatment.
