Investigating the Resurrection
Is there any evidence that the resurrection of Jesus actually occurred or is it just something Christians believe simply on blind faith?
Friday, February 19th come out to Mt. Zion UMC to hear a presentation on the historical case for the resurrection of Jesus. It’s totally free and there’s even free pizza!
Before studying apologetics I always considered the resurrection of Jesus something you simply believed on faith or not. But, as a historical event, it is open to investigation like any other event of history.
During my studies I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are a number of historical facts surrounding the resurrection that both secular and Christian scholars agree on. These facts can then be used to build a case for the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus.
On Friday February 19th Chad Gross (of Truthbomb Apologetics) will be speaking on the topic “Investigating the Resurrection”. There will be free pizza at 6:30pm followed by the talk and some Q&A. Child care will be available.
