
John Cubbage, age 67, of Bel Air, passed away on May 12, 2017, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.
Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Henry David and Jane (Gallahan) Cubbage and was the husband of the late Kathleen Jaqueline Cubbage. He taught for 33 years at both Forest Lakes Elementary School and Forest Hill Elementary School, and for over 20 years was a member of the Bel Air Fourth of July Committee. He enjoyed working on cars, which included his vintage Mini Cooper. He was a board member of the Shetland Pony Society of North America and a Ravens fan who was an original Ravens season ticket holder.
Mr. Cubbage is survived by his son, Brian Cubbage and wife, Dana, of Charleston, South Carolina; daughter, Jennifer Cubbage Long and husband, Bill, of New Market; brothers, Richard Cubbage, Bruce Cubbage and Christopher Cubbage; granddaughter, Josephine Long; niece, Anne Izzo; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Cubbage and Gilbert Cubbage.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shetland Pony Society of North America, 3513 Torrington Drive, Manchester MD 21101.
Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. (Bel Air), 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 19, at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 141 Hickory Avenue
Bel Air, MD 21014.
Burial will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
