​John M. Richardson, 81, Of Bel Air

Richardson, who lived in Harford County all his life, made motors out of tractors and oil drums.

John M. Richardson, 81, of Bel Air, passed away on July 18, at Greenfield Senior Living at Bel Air.

Born in Bel Air, he was the son of Clarence Lee and Mary Marlene (Hicks) Richardson.

He went to Bel Air High School and lived in Harford County all of his life. He enjoyed making motors out of tractors and oil drums and won first place in one of the Bel Air parades. He also enjoyed restoring one lung engines and he loved the steam engine shows.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his sister, Frances E. Blevins of Bel Air, and brother, Clarence Richardson, Jr. of Jarrettsville; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William T. Richardson and Robert Dale Richardson; and sisters, Mary H. Garrett and Peggy Ann Lovelace.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23, at McComas Funeral Home, 50 West Broadway, Bel Air.

Burial will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
