Jon 'King' Wittenburg, 21, of Joppa

Jon “King” Wittenburg, 21, of Joppa, passed away on Dec. 6, 2015.

Born in Pine Bluff, Ark., he is the son of Ann Marie (King) Wittenburg of Joppa and David Dwayne Wittenburg of White Hall, Ark. He had attended Aberdeen High School and formerly played football for Emmorton Rec. He loved to create and produce music, played the guitar and was self-taught on the piano.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Ally Wittenburg and her fiancé, Thomas Camus, of Baltimore, and Lauren Wittenburg of Joppa; paternal grandparents, Charles and Marilynn Borecky of White Hall, Ark., and David and Patsy Wittenburg of Springdale, Ark. Also survived by one niece, Cora Camus of Baltimore, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James C. King and Agnes C. King.

Pallbearers will be Nick Hartman, Nate Tillman, Storme Goodrich, Jovani Johnson, Ethan Wallace and Alyssa Anderson.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1643 Churchville Road, Bel Air.
