Joppa Home's Stove Catches On Fire Thanksgiving Morning: Fire Official

The stove in a Joppa home caught on fire Thanksgiving morning, officials reported. No one was injured and damage was limited to the kitchen.

JOPPA, MD — Holiday preparations on Thanksgiving Day took a scary turn when the stove in a Joppa home caught on fire Thursday morning.

Firefighters from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and Harford County Fire and EMS responded to a kitchen fire on Jonathan Drive in Joppa around 7:50 a.m. Thursday.

Officials reported that the fire was contained to the stove and the area around it. No one was injured, officials stated.
