Joppa Man Shot, Killed In Edgewood, Harford County Sheriff Says

A Joppa man was fatally shot in Edgewood early Friday morning, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

EDGEWOOD, MD — A Joppa man was fatally shot in Edgewood Friday morning, officials said. The shooting is under investigation, and the Harford County Sheriff's Office advised there may be a reward for information about the person(s) responsible for the crime.

Joshua Dwayne Crouse, 40, of Joppa, was found by deputies who were in the area on proactive foot patrol, officials said.

At 3:19 a.m., the deputies said they were walking in Edgewater Village when they heard a single gunshot near Grempler Way and Brookside Drive.

Within two minutes, they said they found Crouse in the road in the 1800 block of Grempler Way and started rendering first aid.

Medics from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company also attempted to save his life but pronounced Crouse deceased at 3:50 a.m., authorities reported.
