Joppatowne Students Receive $9K Grant To Boost FIRST Lego League Team

Joppatowne Elementary students involved in the FIRST Lego League Challenge have received a $9K grant to support their STEM activities.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Joppatowne Elementary has landed a $9,000 grant to move forward with their Lego League team created for fourth and fifth graders.

The FIRST Lego League Challenge is an international competition organized by FIRST for elementary and middle school students. FIRST Lego League introduces science, technology, engineering and math to children ages 4 to 16 through hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today's students and teachers build a better future together.

Joppatowne fourth and fifth graders will be engaging in researching, problem-solving, building and programming their very own Lego robot to conquer epic missions in a robotics game.
