Jury Convicts Harford Mall Shooter Of Attempted Murder: Report

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A jury on Wednesday found Wesley Lyons Jr. guilty of attempted murder in connection with a June shooting at Harford Mall in Bel Air, according to a report.

Lyons, the subject of a month-long manhunt following the shooting, was also found guilty of reckless endangerment and multiple gun charges, WBAL reported.

Officers responded to the mall shortly after 4 p.m. on June 2 after a report of a shooting at the Harford Bounce Party Place. During the shooting, several gunshots were fired inside the business. According to Bel Air Police, Lyons' mother and girlfriend fought at a child's birthday party.

Lisa Gregg, 60, of Edgewood, and Lateia Green, 37, of Middle River, were arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with accessory to attempted first-degree murder.

A man at the party and shot in the leg and hand. He was taken to the hospital with three gunshot wounds, according to Bel Air Police.

Lyons fled the mall shortly after the shooting, police said. The search for Lyons ended a month later when he was found hiding in an Anne Arundel County hotel room, CBS Baltimore reported.
