K9 Zeke Receives New Temp-Regulating Bullet-Proof Vest From Harford Sheriff's Foundation

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Harford Sheriff's Foundation has provided a new K9 Streetfighter vest with ballistic level 3A panels to county sheriff's office K9 Zeke.

The lightweight, armored tracking harness helps keep K9 Zeke safer and comfortable during his shifts while he's helping serve the community.

The vest helps protect a K9's vital organs without exhausting them from excessive heat and weight of other protective vests. It also features bullet-resistant armor and an inner layer of a special thermal material to prevent excessive heat soaking and regulate the K9's body temperature. The vest also is buoyant.
