​Keir Ulysses Thompson, 41, of Bel Air

Keir Ulysses Thompson, son of Claude W. and Lanella W. Rowser Thompson, was born on Sept. 2, 1975, in Baltimore. He was the grandson of the late Raymond and Geneva Thompson, and Wilbert and Ella Rowser. Keir departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, after a lengthy illness. He was christened as an infant in September 1975 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. As an adult, he joined Rock City Church and was baptized.

Keir received his early education at St. Matthews School in Baltimore City. He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1993.

Keir was an avid lover of sports. He played and participated in the following: football, karate, swimming, weight lifting and wrestling. Keir participated in the Mr. Maryland contest in 1995 and 1997, in which he won both 2nd and 3rd place. His love for the body building sport and healthy eating lead him to train and write nutritional diets for many. Keir later found his true passion in motorcycle riding, he was a true daredevil.

Keir leaves to cherish his memory; his parents Claude and Lanella Thompson of Bel Air; two sisters Tara Rucker of Hanover, MD and Kendra Thompson of Baltimore; two nieces, Taylor Rucker-Benedetto of Hanover, MD and Londyn Thompson of Baltimore, MD; two uncles, Thomas Rowser (Renee) of Grand Blanc, MI and Bernard Dennis of Hampton, VA; five aunts, Attrice Stamps, August Pierce (Thomas), Rosalind Thompson, Maria McNeal all of Baltimore, MD and DelVerra Savage (Robert) of Abingdon, MD; and a host of cousins and other family members. Keir was richly blessed with many dedicated special friends.

The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, 1317 Cokesbury Rd., Abingdon, MD US 21009.
