Kilgore Falls Rescue: 2 Seriously Injured, Official Says
Two people were injured at Kilgore Falls Thursday afternoon, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
PYLESVILLE, MD — Two people were injured at Kilgore Falls in Rocks State Park Thursday afternoon, according to an official.
They were at the top of the falls and "somehow fell to the bottom," said Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
Their injuries were serious but are not believed to be life-threatening, Gardiner said.

One was being airlifted for treatment, Gardiner told Patch after 3:30 p.m. The helicopter would be landing for the medevac at St. Mary's church, he said.
While an initial report indicated the two were kayaking, Gardiner later said it was undetermined what activity they were engaged in at the time of the incident, which was reported just after 3 p.m.

Kilgore Falls is the second highest vertical-drop waterfall in the state at 17 feet, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
The highest free-flowing waterfall in the state is Muddy Creek Falls in Garrett County, which has a 53-foot drop, according to the Maryland Geological Survey.
