BEL AIR, MD —The Amyclae home that has hosted a holiday light show set to music since 2012 is back with new additions this year.

A Clark Griswold-inspired track is part of the display, and so are the "12 Days of Christmas," "The Nutcracker," "The Greatest Show," "Star Wars" and "God Bless the USA."

Light show creator Jim Kurtz said he added new songs for 2019, such as "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Christmas Rhapsody."

History Of The Display

Kurtz attracted widespread media attention when he dedicated the show to addicts in 2015 and in 2012 for his spirited rendition of "Call Me Maybe."

Check out our coverage of previous light shows at the Kurtz residence:

"As some of you may know, our family has been affected by the disease of addiction," Kurtz said in a statement Monday. His daughter, Caroline, has battled addiction since 2012, and she has been in 22 recovery facilities across four states, he said. "We would like to thank all of you who have reached out to us since we went public in 2015. We truly appreciate the support you have given us."

Kurtz said he had good news to report about his daughter, which is broadcast between the tracks in the light show.

"Fortunately, this past year has been a good one for her. Before the next song begins, we ask that you take a moment to pray for the long-term recovery of the thousands of addicts in our community. They are not bad people, but they do have a really bad disease, and they fight every day to take back their lives," Kurtz said in the interlude. "We thank you and, to you and your family, Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year."
