The Last Day Of School In Harford County Is Finalized
The school year is drawing to a close, and Harford County Public Schools firmed up its school calendar after inclement weather days.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The last day of school has been decided upon, according to Harford County Public Schools. Since the school system used seven days for inclement weather, it was not necessary to create additional modifications to the calendar, officials reported on Friday, May 10.
By Maryland law, school systems must offer 180 days of instruction each academic year.
To account for inclement weather, Harford County Public Schools built makeup days into the school calendar. This year it used seven inclement weather days.

Unless there are additional modifications necessary, here is the schedule for the last day of school in 2019, according to Harford County Public Schools:
- Friday, June 14 — Last day for prekindergarten
- Tuesday, June 18 — Last day for kindergarten through grade 11
- Thursday, June 20 — Last day for teachers and 10-month instructional support employees
Due to final exams, high schools and North Harford Middle School will run three hours later than usual on June 14, 17 and 18.

June 20 is scheduled as a professional development day.
Summer hours for 12-month employees will begin on Monday, June 17.
During the summer, school office operating hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Regular school year office hours will start on Monday, Aug. 19, and will run Monday to Friday.
