Lightning Strikes Bel Air Property, Fire Marshal Says
During the storms on the Fourth of July, a structure in Bel Air was damaged by lightning.

BEL AIR, MD - A lightning strike ignited a shed on Conowingo Road Tuesday in Bel Air, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The fire caused $10,000 in damage.
At 5:02 p.m. on the Fourth of July, a passerby reported that a shed was ablaze in the 2300 block of Conowingo Road. The owners were not home at the time.
Approximately 10 firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded, bringing the blaze under control in five minutes.

The 15-by-20-foot shed reportedly sustained $5,000 in structural damage, while $5,000 worth of items were also lost, officials said. The fire marshal said that the blaze was caused by a lightning strike on the roof of the shed.
