Lanes Clear After I-95 Crash In Harford County, Delays Remain

A crash during the Wednesday morning rush hour caused major delays on Interstate 95 in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Traffic is backed up on Interstate 95 south in Harford County Wednesday morning heading toward the Baltimore County line. Two vehicles were involved in a crash on I-95 south past the exit for MD 152/Mountain Road, transportation officials reported.

The collision occurred around 8:20 a.m. and resulted in the closure of two lanes on I-95 south, causing major delays.

By 9:20 a.m. the Maryland Transportation Authority reported lanes had reopened in the area; however, backups remained.

Traffic cameras showed congestion stretched to the exit for MD 24 as of 9:15 a.m.

Drivers may want to consider taking US 40 as an alternate route.
