Malfunctioning Light Reported on Bel Air Bypass

BEL AIR, MD — The traffic light on the Bel Air bypass at MD 24 is reportedly malfunctioning Friday afternoon, public safety officials report.

The light on the northbound side was solid red, while the light on the southbound side of the bypass was not working at all, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

"Law enforcement and state highways have all been made aware," Gardiner said. "This may cause traffic difficulties so plan your route accordingly."
