Man Charged in Parking Lot Holdup at Abingdon Walgreens

The suspect approached woman in parking lot off Emmorton Road, Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

ABINGDON, MD - An Abingdon man has been charged with armed robbery and other offenses in connection with a holdup in the Walgreens parking lot over the weekend.

Mickey Scott Tasker, 23, of the 30100 block of White Oak Court, is being held on $75,000 bail in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Saturday night, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

After 9 p.m. on Saturday, a woman had withdrawn money from the ATM inside Walgreens in the 3000 block of Emmorton Road when she was approached by a man in the parking lot who had what appeared to be a handgun, the sheriff’s office reported.

He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and when detectives identified the suspect vehicle, it led them to Tasker as the suspect, the report said. Tasker was arrested Sunday morning, according to the report.

Tasker is charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $100, using a firearm to commit a felony, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

He is scheduled to appear in Harford County District Court on Jan. 19, 2016.
