Man Fatally Hit By Vehicle In Aberdeen
A 63-year-old Aberdeen man has died after being hit by an 18-year-old Aberdeen driver, according to police.
ABERDEEN, MD — A 63-year-old Aberdeen man has died after he was hit by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Aberdeen resident.
The incident happened Saturday around 8:05 p.m. in the 900 block of Beards Hill Road. Aberdeen police officers were notified of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. The preliminary investigation determined that a gray Genesis G70, driven by Mark Trusty III, 18, of Aberdeen, was traveling along Beards Hill Road when he hit Rudolph Risby Jr., 63, of Aberdeen, who was crossing the roadway in a non-signalized location, according to police.
Aberdeen EMS arrived at the scene and rendered first aid. Despite their efforts, Risby succumbed to his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
