Man Shot in Possible Drive-By in Joppa: Sheriff

Detectives are asking for information about suspicious activity.

A 22-year-old is hospitalized from a gunshot wound he said may have come from a vehicle early Monday morning in Joppa, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 1:25 a.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Trimble Road and found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg, the report said.

“A statement from the victim indicates he believes the round may have come from a passing car,” according to the report.

Deputies provided first aid to the victim, who was then taken to a local trauma center for treatment of injuries that are believed to be non life-threatening, the report said.
