BEL AIR, MD — A man was rescued by firefighters Wednesday after he was trapped 30 feet high in a tree in Bel Air, according to authorities.
Around 10 a.m. Wednesday, multiple fire departments and police units responded to a home on Gunston Road in Bel Air after receiving a call about an injured person, Harford County Fire & EMS said in a news release.
When authorities arrived, they located a man in a tree, trapped by a 20-foot limb he was cutting.

Maryland State Police and the Shock Trauma Go-Team were called to assist with the rescue, authorities said. Due to the lack of a hard surface to access the tree, authorities contacted a neighboring farm to use the owner's hydraulic lift.
"The lift was used to lift part of the tree off of the patient while rescuers worked on a plan to get him down," authorities said.
