Obituary and service information from McComas Funeral Home.

Marjory Ann Watermeier, 89, of Bel Air, passed into God’s arms on March 16, 2018, surrounded by loved ones, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Taylorville, Illinois, she was the only daughter of Walter and Gladys (Duggan) Goodpasture. She attended and graduated from Blackburn University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and also found the love of her life, Leland. They were married in 1950 and settled in Maryland, where Marjory worked as a chemist at Aberdeen Proving Ground until starting their family. She became a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, which helped to contribute to her love for helping people like Habitat for Humanity and PEO, Chapter H. When her daughters were young, she was active in Girl Scouts and volunteered as a leader. Her love for music led her to the Bel Air Community Band, where she played clarinet for over 20 years. Her love of nature and world travel led her to distant places throughout the years.

Mrs. Watermeier is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leland Watermeier; daughters Janet Wheeler (Dan) of Sedona, Arizona, Linda Landis (Wayne) of Bellingham, Washington, Nancy Hewitt (Troy) of Darlington, and Lori Redding (Jim) of Wilmington, Delaware. She was a loving grandmother to Kelcey, Margaret, Albert, Eva, Madeline, Gretchen and James Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and Robert Goodpasture.
