MARYLAND MEP NAMES MID-ATLANTIC RF SYSTEMS, INC. APRIL 2015 MANUFACTURER OF THE MONTH
MD MEP Recognizes Mid-Atlantic RF Systems, Inc. for Its Continued Success in the Manufacturing Engineering Industry & Local Community
Columbia, Md. – The Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing and advancing manufacturing in the State of Maryland, has announced its April 2015 Make it in Maryland program’s Manufacturer of the Month recipient, Mid-Atlantic RF Systems, Inc. (MARFS).
MARFS is a woman-owned, small business headquartered in Forest Hill, Md., focused on growing a suite of products including radio frequency/microwave systems, subsystems and components, as well as the custom-designed radio frequency/microwave systems. The Make it in Maryland program is Maryland’s first and only program dedicated to manufacturers within the state to showcase companies, demonstrate the value of manufacturing within Maryland and highlight manufacturing successes.

In a state that is a hub for high-tech military and commercial intelligence, MARFS’ work is essential in the community. The organization has a variety of products it offers its clients and customers, including Amplifiers, Couplers, Multi-Couplers, Receivers/Turners, Switches and Synthesizers. In addition, MARFS also offers custom engineering services such as product designs, build to print, rapid prototyping and documentation, along with testing and project management.
MARFS joined MD MEP’s Make it in Maryland program in March of 2015, finding value in the many benefits the program provides, from Business-to-Business (B2B) purchasing to partnership development with other businesses within the State of Maryland, said Ron Piercey, Business Development Manager at Mid-Atlantic RF Systems, Inc.

“MARFS started working with MD MEP because our organization realized what the MD MEP could offer a small business,” Piercey said. “MD MEP focuses on providing high quality solutions to help improve companies like ours, and helping local organizations to become leaders in the design and production of their respective product offerings, with the hopes of keeping competitive in the ever-changing and volatile market place.”
In addition to the wide range of products and services it provides, MARFS is very involved with the local community. The organization is a member of the Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC) and has become a regular in the technical community at local meetings and events.
