One Driver Died In MD 924 Crash: Report

A crash that trapped two people on Emmorton Road temporarily shut down a stretch of the road Sunday morning, officials say.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD - A collision that closed a stretch of MD 924 Sunday morning reportedly resulted in the death of one driver.

The crash occurred in the 3300 block of Emmorton Road before 7:30 a.m., according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The Abingdon Fire Company rescued two people, who were in critical condition, Chenworth said. Although the fire company cleared the scene around 9 a.m. after taking one person to a local hospital, she said the road remained shut down for police investigation.

While headed south on Emmorton Road, 35-year-old Christian Boodhoo of Abingdon crossed over the double-yellow line and drove into an oncoming vehicle, according to Fox 45, which reported he died at the scene of the crash.

State transportation officials reported that MD 924/Emmorton Road was closed between Box Hill South Parkway and Singer Road after 10 a.m.
