Medevac Called, Canceled For Injured Person In Joppa: Officials

A person was injured in Joppa Saturday afternoon, prompting an emergency response.

JOPPA, MD – An injured person was hospitalized Saturday in Joppa after emergency officials were called to respond. A medevac was requested but was later canceled, according to authorities.

At 3:10 p.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that its crew was tending to an injured person in the 700 block of Falconer Road.

A medevac was requested and was expected to land at Joppatowne High School, officials reported, but the request was later canceled. Instead, Joppa-Magnolia said it took the victim to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for treatment.
