2 Crashes, 2 Medevac Requests on Wednesday: Joppa-Magnolia VFC
One crash was on Old Joppa Road; the other was on Interstate 95 near the Harford-Baltimore county line, officials said.

Two crashes resulted in requests for helicopter transport within the course of an hour Wednesday morning, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., officials said a medevac was requested after Joppa first responders used the Jaws of Life to rescue someone trapped in a vehicle on Old Joppa and Jerusalem roads. There was a seriously injured person at the scene, where roads were blocked. The person trapped in the vehicle had been freed by 10:50 a.m., according to the fire company.
About an hour earlier, crews had been dispatched to another crash prompting medevac response. That case involved a reported rollover on Interstate 95 near the Harford-Baltimore county line.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported the collision was on the slow shoulder of I-95 north at mile marker 71.9 (between White Marsh Boulevard and Mountain Road).
A vehicle had reportedly overturned, and the victim was critically injured, officials said.

Two lanes were closed on I-95 north due to the collision that involved an injury after 10 a.m., and traffic was held on I-95 in both directions at 10:40 a.m. so the medevac could land, Joppa-Magnolia reported.
After 11 a.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported that all lanes had reopened on I-95 north.
