Memorial Day Ceremonies in Bel Air

Four ceremonies are planned to honor the fallen during Memorial Day 2016 in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – This Memorial Day there are a few ways to honor the fallen in Harford County.

In Bel Air, there will be a Memorial Day ceremony at Shamrock Park at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 30.

Brig. Gen. William King will speak at 11 a.m. at the event, which is sponsored by the town of Bel Air and American Legion Harford Post #39.

A patriotic concert is part of the program, courtesy of the Bel Air Community Band, and a wreath laying is planned.

The Bel Air Memorial Day ceremony will be at Shamrock Park, Lee Way at Hickory Avenue.

Aberdeen Proving Ground is hosting an event to remember those from APG who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The ceremony will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30, at the APG Edgewood Arsenal Army Cemetery and is hosted by the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Command. Brig. Gen. William King will speak.

In the city of Aberdeen, there will be a Memorial Day commemoration supported by the Aberdeen VFW Post 10028, Korean War Veterans Chapter 271 and American Legion Bernard L. Tobin Post 128.

The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Aberdeen at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30.

In Havre de Grace, the city will remember Memorial Day with a 9 a.m. service at Angel Hill Cemetery and an 11 a.m. remembrance at Tydings Park.
