Memorial Gathering Scheduled for Bel Air High Student

Donations in memory of Ryan Harris may go to Living Legacy Foundation.

After two Bel Air High School students were killed suddenly Friday night in a Kingsville crash, the community is in mourning. Counselors were available to students at homecoming Saturday evening, and now memorial services are in the midst of being planned.

“Rest in peace to Ryan Harris and Marvin Hernandez,” Bel Air High School news site The Bellarion tweeted Saturday morning.

Ryan Thomas Harris, 16, died Friday, Oct. 3. He is survived by many family members and friends, according to his obituary.

The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, for a “gathering of friends” at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, in Bel Air.

A memorial mass will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Margaret Church, 141 North Hickory Avenue, in Bel Air. Interment will be private.

Memorial donations in Ryan’s name may go to the Living Legacy Foundation, Attn. Ann Bromery, 1730 Twin Springs Road, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21227. This will allow Ryan Harris’s legacy to live on through the donation of his organs.

Funeral services for fellow Bel Air High School student Marvin Hernandez are pending. A memorial fund has been set up for his family.
