Poldi Hirsch was the first woman member of the AIA Baltimore Chapter. She is featured in the Early Women in Architecture travelling exhibit, currently on display in Baltimore.  8-10 of her projects will be featured, 5 with a rare glimpse and explanations inside. She both designed and built numerous buildings that embodied her vision for collective living: kitchen at the heart, open plan for open communication, warm inviting social areas to collect, excellent acoustics, natural light flooding room to room, and a strong interior /exterior connection.
