National Geographic Live Speaker Series at Amoss Center

Spinosaurus: Lost Giant of the Cretaceous will be held on April 7 at Harford Community College.

Tickets are on sale now for the second event in the National Geographic Live Speaker Series, Spinosaurus: Lost Giant of the Cretaceous. The lecture will be held on April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Amoss Center in Bel Air, 200 Thomas Run Road.

Paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim will share his exploration and ultimate reconstruction of a full skeletal model of Spinosaurus, the largest predatory dinosaur yet discovered. With dramatic video recreating the lost world of the Cretaceous Era Sahara, Dr. Ibrahim will weave the spellbinding tale of Spinosaurus’ discovery, loss, and rediscovery, and explain what—other than its size—makes this ancient monster unique.

A reception with the speaker takes place in Darlington Hall on the Harford Community College campus from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets to the reception and premier seating at the lecture are $40 per person. Premier seating is $30 per person; orchestra seating, $20; terrace, $15; and Harford Community College students and youth aged 17 and under, $10; visit LIVEatHarfordCC.com or call 443-412-2211.
