New Building Opens at Churchville Rec Complex

A fitness center as well as several sport courts are now open for use off MD 155 in Churchville.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — There are now pickleball courts and a fitness center available at a new county-run recreation facility in Churchville.

Encompassing more than 23,000 square feet, the Level Building is situated on the Churchville Rec Complex campus.

It includes a gym dedicated to the late Eleanore “Bobbie” Kunkel, founding member of the Churchville Recreation Council and 30-year parks and recreation volunteer for Harford County. The building contains two basketball courts that can be used for volleyball, tennis and pickleball. The Level Building also includes a fitness center.

“We invite you to stop in, explore the building, and perhaps even sign up to utilize the brand new fitness center. It’s a bargain for only $24 a year," Director of Harford County Parks & Recreation Kathy Burley said. “We are very excited to see residents of all ages use this beautiful new facility."

The complex is located in the 100 block of Glenville Road in Churchville.
