One Airlifted After Conowingo Road Crash, Officials Say

A crash requiring a medevac shut down Conowingo Road in Darlington Thursday morning, according to officials.

The two-vehicle collision occurred on US 1/Conowingo Road at Castleton Road before 7:30 a.m. Thursday, state transportation officials reported.

The crash caused serious injuries, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

One person was taken by medevac in critical condition, while another was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, Gardiner said.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
