One Rescued from Crash North of Bel Air: Official

First responders freed someone trapped in a vehicle Friday afternoon on MD 23/East West Highway, Harford emergency officials said.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person was hospitalized after a crash near Forest Hill Friday afternoon, officials reported.

At 3:30 p.m., crews were called to the crash on East West Highway/MD 23 near High Point Road, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Within 10 minutes, he said first responders from the Bel Air and Jarrettsville fire companies rescued the victim, who had been trapped in a vehicle.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to Gardiner.

At 4:30 p.m., officials advised drivers to expect delays in the area of MD 23.
