Open Door Cafe Closes Its Doors for Good

The Bel Air restaurant cited three reasons for the closure.

Bob Glock, owner of Open Door Cafe, confirmed Wednesday that his business in Bel Air Town Center has closed. The restaurant off Baltimore Pike did not open for business as of Monday, he said.

A sign on the door indicated the decision was “based upon the state of the economy, the oversaturated Bel Air restaurant market and the rent-to-sales ratio.”

Open Door Cafe began welcoming patrons in March 2006. It served approximately 6,000 customers each month, according to Glock.
