A driver helped save a family of baby mammals.
BEL AIR, MD — A passerby came to the rescue for a family of opossums this week.
A driver on Sharon Road saw that one opossum had been hit by a car. According to officials, she found the mother had been struck, so she rescued the eight babies, known as opossums, and took them to a local vet.
The Susquehannock Wildlife Society helped find long-term care for the opossums, officials said.
