Outdoor Dining Extended in Harford County

Harford County is helping restaurants to continue offering outdoor dining by extending emergency legislation adopted in the pandemic.

Harford County is helping restaurants to continue offering outdoor dining by extending emergency legislation adopted in the pandemic. New legislation, proposed by County Executive Barry Glassman and approved last Tuesday by the County Council, extends for one year a moratorium on parking and other requirements to free up space for outdoor service.

“Harford was first in the state to help restaurants stay open during the pandemic by lifting local restrictions,” County Executive Glassman said. “Restaurant owners say outdoor dining has helped them recover and it’s popular with their customers, so it makes sense to keep it going and allow time to consider more permanent solutions.”
