Overdose Vigil In Bel Air To Honor Lives Lost

The vigil at Mt. Zion in Bel Air will shine a light on recovery and raise awareness about the fatality of addiction.

BEL AIR, MD — Those who lost the battle with addiction will be remembered at an event Saturday night in Bel Air. The gathering will also celebrate the hope of those who have found the path to recovery.

So for in 2018, there have been 70 lives lost to heroin-related overdoses, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Harford County's Office of Drug Control Policy is sponsoring the candlelight vigil on Saturday, Nov. 3, with Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing (GRASP) and Rage Against Addiction.

Those who would like to have their loved ones included in the program may send a photo with the person's name, date of birth and date of death to kkruzynski0821@gmail.com.

The overdose vigil will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at The Tent at Mt. Zion Church, 1643 Churchville Road, Bel Air.
