Bel Air Introduces Flat Parking Rate

BEL AIR, MD - From The Town of Bel Air: Starting January 1, 2018, all leased parking at the Hickory Parking Garage, Lee Street and Bond/Thomas public parking lots will be reduced from $50 per month to a flat $35 per month! That is just $1.67 per day, making downtown parking more affordable for employees, both full-time and part-time. No more feeding the meters throughout the day or accumulating parking tickets! The Hickory parking lot by the Bel Air Library will be a flat $25 per month, reduced from $45. So, get your permit today and start saving, just come to the Planning Department located at 705 E. Churchville Road between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm to get your permit. If you have any questions, please call the office at 410-638-4540.

Another efficient means for parking is the pre-paid Smart Card. With an initial cost of $4, load any dollar amount you desire onto the card. This is a great option for residents and frequent visitors to the downtown area for shopping and lunch. Experience what the downtown shopping has to offer without the worry of loading the meter AND any unused funds remaining on your meter when you are finished shopping, are loaded back onto the card! No more overpaying for meters. For your convenience, these cards can be purchased and reloaded while in town at the Finance Department located in Town Hall, 39 N. Hickory Avenue.
