Protest For Black Lives In Bel Air: Watch

BEL AIR, MD — A demonstration billed as a "peaceful protest for black lives" drew hundreds Thursday afternoon to downtown Bel Air. It was the second day in a row crowds converged outside the Harford County Sheriff's Office in a call for an end to racism.
Holding signs that said things like "Black Lives Matter" and "Say Their Names," protesters gathered outside the Harford County Circuit Courthouse on Main Street at 4 p.m. The demonstration lasted until approximately 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
The crowd chanted "George Floyd" while marching along Main Street to Hickory Avenue to Churchville Road.

Speakers shared about their experiences with racism in their community. Some delivered their remarks extemporaneously, while others gave their messages in poem, song or written speeches.

People were asked to wear masks and bring signs as well as water. Organizers also made rounds through the crowd ensuring attendees were hydrated and spraying them at one point with hand sanitizer.
