Person Trapped By Fallen Tree On Bel Air Home's Deck During Recent Storms
Bel Air volunteer firefighters and rescue workers from Harford County together removed a fall tree that had a trapped a person on a deck.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — During Friday's storms, a person became trapped by a fallen tree while on the deck of a home. The forecast called for morning storms for Maryland that day, which brought thunder, lightening and heavy rain across the state.
Harford County Fire and EMS tweeted that at 4:13 a.m. Friday morning, crews from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company and Harford County Department of Emergency Services' EMS and special operations teams responded to a report of fallen tree with a person trapped on the rear deck in the unit block of North Kelly Avenue in Bel Air. Firefighters quickly freed the uninjured person, the county department stated.
The heaviest rain from Friday's storm fell in southeastern Carroll County. South of Westminster to Mount Airy, more than 2 inches of rain was received, with some spots accumulating more than 3 inches of rain. A widespread 1 inch+ of rain was delivered to much of the region.
