Person Of Interest In Assault Found In Abingdon: Harford Sheriff

ABINGDON, MD — Authorities said that a person of interest has been located Sunday morning, after police saturated an area in Abingdon in the search for an assault suspect. The Harford County Sheriff's Office reported its officers were wrapping up their investigation before 10:30 a.m. at the location.

The police activity was concentrated around Holly Wreath Court, authorities said.

Officials said they were looking for the suspect in an assault.

"The person of interest has been located without incident," the sheriff's office reported as of 10:07 a.m.

The search for a suspect came after an assault that took place overnight, prompting officials to ask people to avoid the area of Holly Wreath Court if possible before 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

"There are no current safety concerns to the residents," officials said as they concluded their investigation in the area after 10 a.m. "We thank you for your patience and cooperation."
