Two incidents in Harford County caused delays for drivers Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Drivers in Harford County hit delays Sunday afternoon in two areas.

A stretch of US 40 was closed near Abingdon Sunday afternoon due to police activity, according to authorities.

Meanwhile, a crash on Interstate 95 also slowed traffic in the Belcamp area.

Police activity shut down Route 40/Pulaski Highway between Long Bar Harbor Road and Pamela Drive, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART), of the Maryland Department of Transportation.

The 0.3-mile closure of Route 40 was reported at noon.

By 12:35 p.m., state transportation officials said Pulaski Highway had reopened.

Along I-95, officials said three vehicles crashed past the exit for MD 543. They had been headed south, CHART reported.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred before 11:45 a.m. Sunday, according to officials.

As of 12:15 p.m., authorities said the crash had been moved to the left shoulder.
