Police ID Drivers In Fatal Mountain Road Crash
The drivers of the Ford F-250 pickup truck and Infiniti SUV have been identified from Tuesday's collision.

FALLSTON, MD — Police have identified the drivers involved in the crash on MD 152 Tuesday afternoon in Fallston that killed one and sent another to the hospital.
Jeffrey Vande-Ryt, 48, of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene after police said he was partly ejected from his Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Vande-Ryt had been headed north on MD 152/Mountain Road at approximately 3:05 p.m. when, for reasons that have not been determined, his truck went onto the shoulder and off the road near Reckord Road Park, police reported.

The truck went into a grass drainage ditch then hit an Infiniti SUV that was stopped in a driveway and had been preparing to turn onto Mountain Road, according to police.
Vande-Ryt had not been wearing his seat belt and was partly ejected from his truck, Maryland State Police reported.

The driver of the SUV — Martina Rambal, 39, of Baltimore — was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by helicopter, police reported.
She was transported as a precautionary measure and was believed to have injuries that were not life-threatening, Sgt. Dudek of Maryland State Police told Patch.
Police said the crash shut down a section of Mountain Road for three hours.
