Police Investigate Flag Theft in Bel Air
The flag stolen from the side of a house has sentimental value, officials said.

After an American flag was stolen from the side of a home in Bel Air, officials with the Bel Air Police Department are asking for help finding the suspect(s).
The flag was stolen from the 600 block of Lee Way at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, according to Detective Sgt. Jim Lockard.
The Bel Air Police Department released a photo Wednesday showing the vehicle officials say was involved in the theft. The suspect—a passenger—allegedly got out of the car and took the flag.

Police said the flag was a gift from the victim’s father, who is now deceased.
“If you know who has this flag, please encourage them to return the flag to the owner or drop it off” at the police department, officials said. The Bel Air Police Department is located at 39 North Hickory Avenue.
