BEL AIR, MD — The popular breakfast and brunch chain Eggspectation will be opening at Derby Place, the mixed-use development that's being built at the redeveloped site of Harford Mall.

Derby Place, which is anchored by Whole Foods, will transform the former Macy's department store space into a pedestrian-friendly destination featuring restaurants, high-end retail and pocket parks woven throughout the development.
This includes not just Eggspectation and Whole Foods, but also Shake Shack and VEG ER for Pets.
The commercial part of the project will break ground in early July. Another developer will start building 249 multi-family residential units this fall. The end vision is to establish a live-work-shop environment in Harford County.
The old Sears location was planned to become an Amazon Fresh store, but the company discontinued those stores. That location instead will become the Shops at Harford.
