Porch Fire Breaks Out In Joppa, Officials Say

Crews from multiple fire companies were at the scene of a residential blaze Friday afternoon, Joppa-Magnolia reported.

JOPPA, MD — First responders were dispatched to a house fire in Joppa Friday afternoon, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Before 1:45 p.m., the fire company reported that it was handling the blaze in the 100 block of Fitzhugh Road, where smoke was showing from a single-family home when crews arrived.

The back porch was ablaze, and by 1:55 p.m., firefighters said the visible fire was out and they were checking for extension.
