Powerball: Record Jackpot for Saturday
With no winning tickets in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, the jackpot for Saturday climbs above $600M.

You didn’t hit the jackpot in the the Powerball lottery Wednesday night, but neither did anyone else.
That means Saturday’s jackpot will be an estimated $700 million—the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

The previous record for the largest lotto jackpot was a Mega Millions prize of $656 million in 2012.
Wednesday night’s $524 million Powerball drawing was the fourth largest Powerball jackpot of all time.

The winning numbers were: 47, 2, 63, 62, 11 and the Powerball number was 17.
Powerball is offered in 44 states as well as Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Tickets are $2.
The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338.
The next drawing will be at 10:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 9.
