Prom Dress Giveaway Organized By John Carroll Student

A John Carroll senior is making prom dresses available for free after her project for the school's special needs prom snowballed.

BEL AIR, MD — When a student at John Carroll School collected prom dresses for the school's March 2 special needs prom, she ended up with more than she anticipated.

Hailey Allen solicited donations of dresses for her senior project, and she received more than 300 dresses and other formal wear, according to the John Carroll School.

Allen had only expected to get up to 20 dresses, WMAR reported. Now Allen's senior project has turned into a free-for-all prom dress event, according to the news station.
