Red Cross Sound The Alarm Event Coming To Harford County
The Red Cross will be holding a Sound the Alarm event to help educate residents about fire safety and install smoke alarms.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A Red Cross Sound the Alarm event will be coming to Harford County.
The event will help increase awareness about fire safety. Firefighters will install free smoke alarms in homes throughout the Westshore Village neighborhood Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross will be going door-to-door, offering free smoke alarms and providing valuable fire safety information to ensure that the community is better prepared in case of a fire emergency. The alarms are equipped with 10-year batteries.

Volunteers also will help residents in creating a personalized home fire escape plan in the event of an emergency.
