Residents Evacuated For Gas Leak In Bel Air: Officials
Officials said that BGE and firefighters were at the scene of the gas leak Tuesday in Bel Air.

BEL AIR, MD — A road in Bel Air is closed Tuesday due to a gas leak, according to officials. BGE has responded to the scene, and so has the fire department, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
Firefighters were called to the 1300 block of Gates Head Drive, where there was a gas leak in and outside of residences, officials said.
By 11:15 a.m., crews had shut down Gates Head Drive between Ipswich Drive and Friar Tuck Drive so that firefighters could evacuate the impacted homes.

Before noon, authorities reported it would take about three to four hours to clear the scene.
Officials said Harford County Public Schools had been notified in the event that bus routes may be impacted by the incident, which has resulted in the closure of Gates Head Drive and has made Ipswich Drive off Vale Road inaccessible.
